Knowledge Skills & Experience:
10 years min experience in Oil and Gas Industry, 5 years of them focusing on Standards Engineering via establishing, developing & updating Company Standards & Specifications.
Professional ability to interpret and advise on applicability and relevance of international Standards to Company’s operations. Ability to conduct & participate in audits to verify implementation/compliance with Company Standards/ Specifications. Should possess excellent communication, follow up, presentation, influencing and behavioural skills. Should be fluent in English (specially writing skills) and should be competent in utilizing MS Office software.
Job Purpose:
Provides technical expertise, advice & professional consultancy guidance to all engineering functions of the Company on engineering Standards, Codes of practice and specifications. Interprets and advises on applicability and relevance of it to Company’s operations.
Originates, initiates, drafts Standards and reviews / studies others’ drafts excerpted from other sources to ensure standardization. Reports to supervisor appropriate recommendations to update/revise these accordingly.
Surveys existing Shareholders /International Standards to ensure that the Company’s Standards adequately cover/address business needs & highlights shortages/gaps.
Participate in internal audits to verify implementation/compliance with Company standards/ specifications.
